My name is Konrad, I live on the Gold Coast Australia, and for years I’ve dreamt of owning my own vintage clothing store.
Like many other Aussies I live and breathe all things US Sports. From a very young age I became obsessed with the excitement of waking up early on Monday mornings to watch the NFL. However, over the years I found there was a lack of unique merchandise options here in Australia.
So I set out on the mission to create a brand that was dedicated to providing high quality vintage US sports clothing that stands out, to fans like myself around the country.
Why the name Second Down Studios?
Second Down Studios takes its name from the language and culture of American football, where every down represents another chance to move the game forward. It's the play where teams reset, adjust, and move forward with purpose, and that same mindset sits at the core of our brand.
Every piece we source and restore is given a second chance, turning vintage sportswear into something that can be worn and appreciated again. We aim to extend the life of these quality pieces, keeping them out of landfill and reducing the demand for new production.
The name reflects both the love of the game and the idea of renewal, where classic pieces get a fresh opportunity to be part of someone's lineup.
